Therapy for High-Stakes Situations

What to Expect

Getting started can feel uncertain, especially when your life is already under pressure. Here's what working together typically looks like:

Your first session is a focused conversation. We'll talk about what's bringing you in, what you're navigating, and what you need most right now. There's no pressure to have it all figured out — that's what we're here to sort through together.

From there, sessions are structured but flexible. We work on what's most pressing while also building the skills and internal stability you need to function well under sustained pressure. You won't spend months talking about your childhood unless that's actually relevant to what you're facing.

Sessions are available in person in Albuquerque or via secure telehealth, depending on your location and needs. Frequency is tailored to your situation — some people need weekly support during an acute period, others do better bi-weekly once things stabilize.

This is structured, goal-oriented therapy — designed to help you function, decide, and move forward with clarity, not open-ended exploration without direction.
